Today we will start on what the centerpiece of this class really is: conceptualizing, researching and creating stories on our assigned topics. The first of such stories we do will be the most detailed and thoroughly-reported. This assignment is called our digital story package.
What follows is a template form in which you will outline your plan for your first digital story package. You may either copy/convert the planning guide into a Word or PDF document and fill it out, or simply list answers in a Word doc. Whatever works best for you.
In coming up with a concept, I ask group members to share ideas with one another, whether it is via Facebook or FB groups or Google groups or whatever. I ask group leaders (once they are assigned) to help curate these discussions and brainstorming sessions and to help people come up with good ideas.
Then, once your idea is fleshed out, attach the Word doc or PDF to an email, and send it to me at omars@msu.edu. Your deadline will be no later than 9 a.m. Thursday, May 24.
